GREEN LIGHTNING EFFICIENTLY ADDED TO PROGRAM

A common way of adding Green Lightning (GL) to your regular program is using it as a carrier for fungicide instead of water. This will add nitrogen efficiently and affordably to your current program and can increase the health of the plant as well as increase protein content. The GL form of nitrogen has not been seen to burn plants due to the lack of salt, which is another plus giving the crop an extra dose of nitrogen without adding an overload of salt to the plant or soil. As we all know, adding nitrogen typically will increase yield in any crop or plant, so providing the crop with additional nitrogen in a pure form towards the end of the growing season may increase yield, which is something every grower wants. This way of adding nitrogen is becoming popular on some farms across North America, including these Canadian growers below. There are three charts below which are all very similar programs. Something interesting is that the lowest increase was 8 extra bushels per acre which was the (orange) chart which had Green Lightning sprayed a few weeks earlier than the other two other charts which had 11 and 15 bushels higher per acre. Does this clearly indicate that a later application is more effective? Possibly, but we do need more data to be sure of that assumption. See charts below!
